National Chairman’s Letter
Prayer Alert
September 17, 2005
During the darkest days of the Revolutionary
War, the Continental Congress often called for a day of thanksgiving, fasting,
and prayer. Congress' purpose was to implore God to give inspiration and
help to the forces fighting for Freedom. Americas' prayers were heard and a
Free government was established, a governmental system which has since been
taken to many parts of the world.
Basic Freedoms are under attack again in our
nation. Checks and Balances, so carefully crafted by the Founders, are the
keystone of Americas' Freedom. Socialists and other totalitarians are
attempting to strip Congress of Legislative power, collecting this power in
the office of the President. Legislative, Judicial, and Executive power,
concentrated in the office of the President, is the very definition of a
dictator, a tyrant. America again needs Divine Intervention to turn back the
tide of the collectivists. Will you join us this weekend in a day of
thanksgiving, prayer, and if your religious observance includes it, fasting,
so that our Freedom may be preserved.
Specifically, we ask you to pray for the
following:
1.
Give thanks for the Patriots who established America and for the
Founders who, under Divine Inspiration, established our Constitution, which
signing anniversary is celebrated September 17th.
2.
Give thanks for those within our Nation who are working to preserve our
Freedom, both inside and outside of Congress. May they be inspired and
strengthened in their service and multiplied in their numbers and effect.
3.
May the victims of natural disasters be blessed with their physical
needs and comforted with the peace that comes from God. May those who serve
in our Armed Forces be protected, and blessed with an increased understanding
of the principles of Freedom.
4.
May the tide of socialist and collectivist legislation be reversed,
particularly concerning Free Trade Agreements. May legislation be sponsored
which will rescind Acts which are dangerous to Freedom. May the checks and
Balances be restored between the Executive, Judicial, and Legislative Branches
of our government. May a Spirit of Freedom and reverence for our divine
Constitution inspire Congress and our citizens alike.
5.
May the forces of totalitarianism be disorganized, lose their financial
and media support, and in general become ineffective. May those among these
forces who are receptive to the Spirit of God be inspired to leave the
collectivists and work actively for the principles of Freedom.
The prayer of the righteous availeth much! Let
us put our trust in the Father of us all and then work for Freedom as if our
lives depend upon it, for they surely do.
