Freedom Alert - June 2009
You have no doubt heard of the letter read on the Glenn Beck show. In
it, Janet Contreras, an average citizen, has captured the Spirit of Freedom that
is sweeping America. If you haven't read "the letter",or you wish to send
a message to Congress, use the link below:
http://www.votervoice.net/link/target/jbs34404458.aspx
Add a PS on the specific issues of your choice:
- Support H.R. 1207 – Audit the FED. 234 cosponsors.
- Oppose the Law of the Sea Treaty.
- Oppose the “Hate Crime” Bill.
- Oppose “Cap & Trade” Bill.
- Restore “Sound Money”.
Janet's letter catches the Spirit of Freedom felt by many in our nation.
This group will provide the nucleus of the activists in the
Committee of Correspondence that is a growing
force for bringing Congress back to a Freedom voting pattern. We must
recruit additional members of the Committee in each of our individual
Congressional Districts.
Fifty members in a Congressional District is the "critical mass" needed to
affect the voting patterns of our "Representatives". Our year end goal is
to have that critical mass or more in 100 Congressional Districts and a good
start in the rest. This is very doable, and can be accomplished with a
reasonable expenditure of energy.
Copy the attached letter (below) that explains what the Committee of
Correspondence is and what we do. Send it to those you know who feel
about America as we do with your recommendation that they
join the Committee. The Committee is a
proven method for influencing Congress in a positive manner. Critical mass
can be done in a matter of months, without having to wait for the next election.
We have the tools in our hands and the Spirit of Freedom is sweeping America.
Will you do your part to stem the tide of collectivism and restore Freedom to
our nation in our time? The time is now, we cannot wait for another
election which might elect worse "Representatives" than we have now. Join
with us as we begin to restore Freedom for us and future generations.

Freedom Alert Letter - June 2009
A CAMPAIGN FOR FREEDOM.
The Independent American Party through the Committee of Correspondence has
organized a campaign to positively influence Congress toward more pro-Freedom
votes. Most members of Congress are not strongly motivated by the issues
of the day. They are, however, strongly motivated by their desire to get
reelected.
Their reelection is achieved by influencing the voters back home by principled
votes, or by accepting enough special interest money to buy the name recognition
required to swing the election. Buying name recognition with special
interest money is the easiest approach to reelection and the one chosen by most
in Congress. This is why the average member of Congress represents the
Washington thought pattern to the home district, rather than the home district's
interests to Washington.
A block of 5000 votes swinging from one candidate to the other will determine
the winner in over 90% of Congressional elections. Conventional wisdom in
Washington is that each person who calls, writes, or faxes represents 100 voters
who did not make the contact, but who will vote. A block of 50 people who
will contact Congress at least once a week on Freedom issues represent the 5000
votes which will swing most elections.
The goal of our campaign is to develop those 50 voters who will make the contact
with Congress at least weekly. These 50 voters, representing 5000 silent
voters, are a force which begins to counterbalance the special interest money so
readily available in Washington. As members of Congress feel constituent
pressure from the home district, they will begin to vote to please the voters
back home rather than the special interests in Washington.
We use prepared letters and faxes to make the contact with Congress. Hand
written or typed letters are more effective, but since most of us have very
little time, we rely on prepared messages for our contacts. The
Congressional aide who reads your letter only determines the side of the issue
the message is on, makes a mark on a tally sheet, and the letter is discarded.
The Independent American Party sends between two to four email alerts per month
on issues concerning Freedom. These alerts are sent to the members of the
Committee of Correspondence and have web links to sites which have the prepared
letters or faxes. Once the voters information is listed on site, the whole
process of contacting Congress takes about three minutes.
To receive the alerts register with the Committee of Correspondence at:

Your Freedom and the Freedom of generations yet unborn are at stake.
